Tia Mowry is getting real about her relationship with twin sister Tamera Mowry-Housley.
The former "Sister, Sister" star addressed her relationship with Mowry-Housley, the ex-co-host of the daytime talk show "The Real," during a trailer for her new WeTV docuseries "Tia Mowry: My Next Act."
"Being alone has been the most challenging part of my divorce," Mowry says in the trailer, per video posted on social media platforms. "It’s times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close, and I could pick up the phone and call her, but that’s just not where we are right now."
A source clarified that Mowry was talking about the physical distance. "The sisters are still close but the quote being referenced was about the lack of proximity in their physical location," said a source familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly about it.

Mowry added: "I’ve always wanted the family dynamic of having a mom and a dad in one household. When you’re dropping your kids off, you actually visually see how that is no longer." Mowry announced her split from ex-husband and fellow actor Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage in a viral Instagram post in 2022.
She and Hardrict share two children, a son Cree and daughter Cairo.
In the trailer for her show, which will follow her life post-divorce, she says it's "the first time I'm actually realizing that I have a choice ... I have a choice to speak my mind, I have a choice to be me, I have a choice to be happy. Later, she breaks down in tears over the realization, saying "I didn't realize I have a choice."
